On Friday, March 3, after the avalanche on the slope of Mount Cheget, rescuers found the bodies of two men and two women, another skier found alive. One of the dead women was from Kirov, the rest of the victims came from Moscow. The skiers cut an avalanche on a slope forbidden for skiing, clarifies Interfax .
On Saturday, March 4, the bodies of three more dead were found - women and two men from Moscow.
The press service of the head of Kabardino-Balkaria promised the relatives of the dead as a result of an avalanche to provide all the necessary assistance. Governor Yuri Kokov, on behalf of the residents of the republic, expressed deep condolences to the families of the dead on the official website .
"The head of the region turned to vacationers at the ski resorts of the republic with a request to show inspiration, to be attentive and careful, to strictly comply with the safety rules," the press service notes.
