Fox News TV presenter Heather Nauert will head the press service of the US State Department and become its official representative. this Bloomberg reports , citing two sources familiar with the situation.

According to the publication, 47-year-old Nauert will begin leading the press service of the Foreign Ministry “in the near future.” Briefings for journalists at the State Department will resume on March 6, two months after they were suspended. Mark Toner acted during this period.
According to Bloomberg, Trump has repeatedly called the morning show “Fox & Friends” one of his favorites. He emphasized that the program became an advertising platform and contributed to his victory in the elections.
Nauert's appointment has not yet been officially announced. The TV presenter did not respond to Bloomberg's request.
Nauert was not the first Fox News employee to join the US administration. In January, the channel's reporter at the UN, Jonathan Wachtel, became press secretary for the US representative to the same international organization.
