Trump signed a new anti -migrant decree

US President Donald Trump signed a new anti -migrant decree in return for previously issued, the action of which was suspended by the court. It is reported by CNN.

In the new decree, the list of states, whose citizens are prohibited from entering the United States within 90 days, was reduced to one position - Iraq was expelled from the list. As for the remaining countries - these are Iran, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Somali and Sudan - the ban does not apply to those of their citizens who have a green cards - permanent residence permit in the United States.

As Reuters clarifies , if the previous anti -migrant decree entered into force immediately after signing, then the current one after 10 days, from March 16.

Trump issued the first decree on the restriction of entry into the United States on January 27 , a week after taking office. The American leader stated that such a measure would allow "holding radical Islamic terrorists outside the United States."

The ban was originally extended to Green Cart holders, but several days later it was canceled .

As noted in the State Department, almost 60 thousand visas were canceled in connection with the publication of the decree.

Inside the United States, the decree caused a wave of protests, including street. Mass demonstrations were held in a number of cities. Already on January 28, the Federal Court in New York canceled the document in relation to those 109 migrants who got on aircraft before signing it.

On January 30, Trump fired the acting The head of the US Ministry of Justice Sally Yates, after she publicly criticized his anti -migrant decree.

Meanwhile, on February 3, the Federal Court in Seattle, Washington, suspended the decree during the consideration of the claim filed in this court by the prosecutor's office. The department demanded to recognize the main provisions of the document by unconstitutional and cancel it. On February 9, the Court of Appeal of the 9th District in San Francisco left this decision in force .
