Teacher Yevgenia Chudnovets, who was sentenced to five months in prison for publishing a video of child abuse on the Internet, was released from a colony in Nizhny Tagil. This is reported by Meduza.

In November 2016, the Kataisky District Court sentenced Evgenia Chudnovets to six months in prison for distributing child pornography (Part 2 of Article 242.1 of the Criminal Code). Later, the period was reduced to five months.

On February 23, the Prosecutor General's Office submitted a submission to the Supreme Court, in which it demanded that the verdict be canceled and the criminal case be dismissed due to the absence of corpus delicti. The video, which Chudnovets reposted on her social media page, showed a scene of bullying a child in a children's camp. According to Chudnovets, she wanted to draw public attention to this story. However, the court considered that in this way she distributed child pornography.
