The season of the Innovation Prize is opened

Today, March 7, the State Center for Contemporary Art (HCSI), as part of the State Museum and Exhibition Center, RosIO, announced the beginning of accepting applications for the State Prize in the field of modern art “Innovation”.

Applications are accepted on the site artinnovation.ru until March 31.

The Innovation Award is awarded for projects implemented in 2016 in the Russian Federation in six competitive nominations:

• "Project of the year";
• "Curator of the year";
• "Artist of the year";
• "Regional project";
• "New generation";
• "Educational project";

and two out -of -competition nominations:

• “For contribution to the development of contemporary art”;
• "For the support of the contemporary art of Russia."

Put the authors of projects and works for the competition have the right:

• budgetary cultural institutions;
• non -profit organizations specializing in the field of contemporary art;
• members of the jury of the award;
• Members of the Expert Council of the Prize .

The Innovation Prize this year will be awarded for the twelfth time and we, Rosiso, as the team work on its organization for the first time. - says the head of the Directorate for Special Projects of Rosyzo Ekaterina Kibovskaya. - We know what a huge role the prize has played all these years thanks to its creators, and we understand that our task today is to continue their work at a decent level. We have also attracted to work on the “innovation” of professionals such as designer Andrei Sheleutto, who developed a new signature style of the award, and the artist and director Andrei Savelyev, who will be responsible for the presented presentation ceremony this year this year. This year we updated the main nominations, adding as a key “project of the year”, but the logic of the prize remained the same - to open new names and encourage those who are looking for new ways in contemporary art. For a convenient acceptance of applications for the award, we opened the website www.artinnovation.ru , which, as I hope, will eventually turn into a resource on the history of the award and contemporary art as a whole. ”
