The ECHR awarded the Russian 36 thousand euros for mockery in kindergarten

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) decided to pay 36 thousand euros to a resident of St. Petersburg as compensation for mockery of kindergarten educators in childhood. This amount includes compensation for material damage in the amount of 3 thousand euros, compensation for moral damage in the amount of 25 thousand euros and reimbursement of legal costs - 8 thousand euros. The decision is published on the court website.

The Committee for Prevention of torture, which represented the interests of a minor, said that we are talking about a young man born in 2001. In the spring of 2005, his parents noticed that he became nervous and did not want to visit kindergarten No. 42 in St. Petersburg. The investigation found that the children's garden educators were mocking the children.

In 2006, the mother of the child turned to the prosecutor’s office, but the criminal case “for intentional infliction of medium severity of harm” was instituted only in 2009, and later terminated the lack of corpus delicti. In this regard, in 2013, the child’s parents filed a complaint with the ECHR.
