The Russian woman is a separate phenomenon, as the Russian culture and foreign matrimonial experience claims, but you can look at the history of the female question on the other hand. The heroines of not only Russian folk tales are distinguished by patience and courage, although the distribution of roles discouraged in childhood: why is Vasilisa a wise, and Ivan-Durak? But even if you leave aside traditional children's texts, which today not everyone reads, the stereotype will still remain - a girl - a gentle creature, a boy - a defender who performs from a position of strength.
It is curious that homework, raising a child and care for him, as well as the economic maintenance of the family, are expected in adults, as a rule, on equal terms with a man, or even without his participation. From the "stronger sex" in the current circumstances, forces are not required, rather, on the contrary, the ability to gently resolve conflicts.

Can women be considered a weak floor? Respond to the students of the Moscow State Pedagogical University
Probably, as in fairy tales, in the broadcast of stereotypes, not only a straight line, but also a secret plan is laid, but the dissonance between expectations and a real life seems to not bother anyone - young girls seek to get on their feet stronger and at the same time continue to cherish the dream of a strong shoulder. Despite the fact that reality in most cases demonstrates a different model of behavior - the wife, as it can, supports her husband, at the same time dragging the WHO of family and financial problems. It is as if there is such a public treaty that has been obtained from Soviet times: the family is a cell of society, and it cannot be destroyed so that society does not fall apart.
Women belonged to backward, dark layers of the population
In this situation, the patience of Russian women, who, indeed, were one of the first to receive the right to self -realization. In the first Soviet posters and posters, a young proletarian does not tie a scarf under the chin, as before, but on the back of the head, in a new way-as a sign of liberation, and is depicted without children, as an independent person. True, since women belonged to the backward, dark segments of the population, the entire power of ideology fell on them. Moreover, the woman was supposed to become a party agent in her own family if her husband did not show the proper enthusiasm. However, the demographic situation in the country soon demanded to return to traditional values-and in 30 years there are posters with naked breasts of a nursing mother, that is, the state charges motherhood as a social duty.
However, civil rights were obtained and enshrined in the Constitution, and with them the “double burden”, family and production, which Russian women are unquestioningly to this day. And even a holiday, which was originally celebrated as the day of the solidarity of women in the struggle for equality of rights and emancipation, turned into a "female" (as in a bath) day, a pagan "holiday of spring."
Gender contract
Irina Tartakovskaya , sociologist:
- This is a long -standing story that a man should provide a family. The idea of what may be wrong began to take shape somewhere in the second half of the twentieth century, and not in all countries, not in all cultures. In itself, it means a very serious rethinking of gender relations, a gender contract, as sociologists say. Because, if a man does not provide a family, if he simply makes some contribution, then a number of consequences arise. Do you need a family? Or is it still needed a family, but the distribution of responsibilities, the distribution of power should be different? In addition, modern life is a very competitive life, it is associated with a constant struggle. And those girls who hope that they do not have to get involved in this struggle themselves, count on men, since there is such a historical experience.
On average, women in Russia earn about two -thirds of male earnings. This, of course, is what is called the "average temperature in the ward." It is interesting that these indicators are now about the same as they were in Soviet times. This is due to a very simple circumstance that a woman still has not existed in the labor market not so long ago even in the Soviet Union. 100 years is not a very long period in the context of all world history. Therefore, the fact that women have not yet been able to take a position equal to a man, given the distribution of duties in the family, is not so amazing. In fact, this situation is changing all the time, in various fields, if only because there is a struggle, competition, including between men and women.

What is more important: career or family? Respond to the students of the Avant Models School
- I have probably been studying women managers for 15 years, starting with industrial managers with Soviet and post-Soviet experience, and girls who work in corporations today. If in the post -Soviet time these were exceptions, now their number is steadily increasing. There are more and more women in the board of directors; There are more and more on top positions, there are a lot among middle managers. And, interestingly, psychology changes. If until the last decade the woman who had made her career, as if justified, said that she was engaged in a family, she has time, now this topic is gone. In addition, girls make demands on their partners. And it is natural that the more the girl earns, the more she is confident in herself. All the easier she leaves marriage if something does not suit her in this marriage. And no feeling of guilt! It is normal that the nanny is engaged in children. It’s normal that there are a lot of business trips. Such a life, such a job.
what civil society, such and female movement
In general, there are many women, this is a large half of humanity. And quite naturally, if they are widely represented in the governing bodies. Because, in addition to the fact that there are a lot of them, they still have a bunch of their specific interests related, for example, with raising children, with the provision of children with children's institutions, for example. By the way, there are more women among the elderly people. Therefore, it is quite natural if in politics such a large number of people are represented accordingly, which we do not see in Russia.
On the other hand, it is unlikely that some female movement is ahead of the state of civil society as a whole in its development. This is what civil society we have with all its problems, pressure, etc., such a female movement. First of all, there must be civil values and willingness to defend them, fight for their rights. This applies to both women and to all other categories of the population. As the need for such a struggle and active participation will increase, I think the presence of a woman in the public arena will become more noticeable.
Women without borders
Maria Efimova , Deputy Chairman of the Moscow "Youth Apple":
- Since childhood, I called myself a feminist. And she grew up in a small city in the Vladimir region, where this word was considered either a curse, or they thought that it was such a style in clothes. Those who understood what they were talking about, tried to re -educate me - you will grow up, they say, you will get married, you will change your mind. But I really do not understand why young girls dream of some strong man, about support, while they themselves are able to be the very strong person they dream of.
If they looked around, perhaps even at their own family, they would see a huge number of strong, successful, smart, talented women who could reach any heights if they would remove the boundaries that they themselves set for themselves. It seems to me that in Russia everything happens as in Voinovich’s novel “Moscow 2042”, when at first communism - and everyone goes without hair and in short pants, and then immediately Orthodoxy, when everyone is obliged to walk in scarves. There is a very strong influence of public stereotypes and propaganda, which is now actively promoted by deputies and senators like Elena Mizulina.
The father of the family will make a feat - will prepare breakfast
Of course, a lot depends on state policy and because we see few examples of successful and happy women who abandon the traditional role. I think that this trend is not so difficult to change if you change the political situation as a whole, although young people go to politics quite rarely. Not because they do not understand what is happening in Russia, they, on the contrary, are aware that, perhaps, they will have to devote their whole lives to achieve a goal, which, in fact, may not be achieved.
Active female organizations are very necessary here. Because in Finland, where there is no gender quotation, in parliament there are about 40% of women, and this is due to the fact that gender organizations work inside political parties. In Russia, about 15% of women are in parliament, and if you look at them, it seems to me that it will be the worst advertisement of women in politics. After all, they got there, in fact, like all other deputies, not thanks to their personal achievements, but thanks to the ties, including related ones.
It is no coincidence that in Russia the International Struggle for the Rights of Women, recognized by the UN, is celebrated as a sexist's day, when women congratulate the fact that they are lovely ladies, give them flowers. It is expected that on this day, the only day of the year, the father of the family will prepare breakfast, make such a feat. Unfortunately, stereotypes are preserved and in the near future it is unlikely that something will change.
Fashion and freedom
Julia Taratuta , editor -in -chief of Wonderzine :
- We immediately abandoned the idea that there is a certain unquestioning sample and it needs to be followed. Our journal is not about a fashionable trend, but exclusively about acceptance of oneself, and about choosing. For example, we made a project about the right to gray hair - about women who chose the wear of gray hair as an image. That is, you can dye your hair, but you can not color. And it is amazing how people of different generations and different worldviews collided. Because it is quite difficult to admit the fact that beauty as such does not exist, unquestioning beauty.

Mordach
"Non -standard beauty is valued now - big ears, big teeth ..." (from Olga Mordachian observations)
- Of course, we monitor fashion, because fashion is a social thing and reflects what is happening in the world: the aggressiveness of the dispute, and general anxiety, and the struggle for rights. All this modern fashion takes into account quite tough, so men's and female collections "from coutures" are so mixed. And therefore it is so difficult to understand where whose role is today. Moreover, the very concept of the role goes into the background and is neutralized as not the most important.
It is quite obvious that the glossy fashion industry reacts in its own way to some kind of social progress. For example, a story about self -identification, about a difference - absolutely the entire commercial industry of the so -called beauty reflects this topic on the covers that the Internet is full of. And the very fact that the gloss, which was used to handling exclusively with stereotypical beauty, with the unconditional model, began to talk about socially important things, that women should have the right to harmony without a whistle after - this is a good sign of our time. Another thing is that not all readers, even prone to a female liberal agenda, know how to throw the bridge to general issues. After all, when you see a violation of liberal values in principle, the rights of women are only a private embodiment of this topic.
