Singer Maksakov, who escaped to Kyiv with ex-deputy Voronenkov, was fired from Gnesinka

The ex-deputy of the State Duma, the opera singer Maria Maksakov, who moved to Ukraine with her husband, also ex-deputy Denis Voronenkov, was fired from the Russian Academy of Music named after Gnesins, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the educational institution.

"Maria Maksakova was dismissed. They collected justifying documents that she was not there, twice sent telegrams to which they did not receive any answer. They made an act that she was absent during working hours, and in connection with labor legislation was fired," the academy said.

In February, when the school year just began, the Gnesins Academy did not exclude that Maksakova could still appear at the workplace. However, as reported, in the fall of 2016, she, together with her husband, accused of fraud on an especially large scale, moved to Kyiv. Former deputies received Ukrainian citizenship in exchange for testimony against former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and criticism of the Russian authorities.

Voronenkov in absentia was arrested by the Basmanny court and put on the international wanted list. According to the investigation, Voronenkov in 2011 made a raider seizure of a building in the center of Moscow worth $ 5 million. Then he helped to find the buyer on the illegally seized house of the entrepreneur Otari Kobahidze, for which he received more than $ 1 million. On March 6, it was reported that Voronenkov was expelled from the Communist Party. In mid -February, Maksakov was expelled from United Russia.
