Investigators found no violations in the actions of the protesters in St. Isaac's Cathedral

According to the results of the check, the Investigative Department for the Admiralteisky District of the Investigative Committee found no signs of insulting the feelings of believers in the protest action held on January 28 inside St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the Main Investigation Department of the TFR in St. Petersburg.

The check was carried out in connection with the request of State Duma deputy Mikhail Romanov, according to the deputy, the activists offended the feelings of believers by their actions. The request was supported by 39 parliamentarians.

On January 28, after a meeting with deputies regarding the transfer of St. Isaac's Cathedral to the Russian Orthodox Church on the Field of Mars, Dinar Idrisov, together with other activists, held a rally in St. Isaac's Cathedral itself: during the service, young people held up pieces of paper with the inscription "Museum to the city!". Nobody was arrested that day.

On February 1, the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg adopted in the first reading a bill obliging deputies to coordinate meetings with voters in the same way as organizers of rallies do.
