In Moscow, a search was held in the apartment of the former director of school No. 57, Sergey Mendelevich and his wife, who is still working at the school. This was reported by Interfax with reference to a source in law enforcement agencies.
According to him, the source, during the search, were seized the materials necessary for further investigation of the criminal case against the former teacher of the school Boris Meerson. He is suspected of committing depraved actions.
The scandal around the 57th school began, after on August 29, journalist Ekaterina Krongauz reported on her FB page about the sexual relations of a certain teacher and students. According to the journalist, the school was known about what has been happening over the past 16 years. The internal investigation at the school began in July. 50-year-old Merson quit and went to Israel.
Meanwhile, in social networks it was reported that harassment was allowed not only to Merson, but also by other teachers.
On September 5, Mendelevich and Chairman of the Governing Council of the School Vladimir Shikov appealed to the police "demanding the investigation and legal assessment of the facts of violation of the rights and certificates of crimes against children." The next day, Mendelevich, who headed the school since 1987, resigned .
On September 27, the Investigative Committee opened the case against Meerson under part 4 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code (depraved actions committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy), which provides from 7 to 15 years in the colony. The second person involved was the former student of the 25-year-old Maria Nemzer school. At the time of the opening of the case, she was also in Israel.
It was claimed that from April to December 2010, Meerson and Nemzer, who graduated from school in 2008, "repeatedly committed other sexual actions against the boy, at the time of the crime of the age of 16." "It was established that the victim repeatedly came to visit the indicated persons," the TFR said in a statement.
