Everything, of course, is more decent, but for the American perception of Chicago - a city with rich traditions of corruption among officials. So there are somewhat displaced concepts about “good” and “bad”.
So, a good girl Alisha, a faithful wife and virtuous mother, enters a worthy way of protecting people and succeeds in a lawyer, possessing undoubted talent. On the way, the husband leaves prison, runs and regains power, and all this time Alisha continues to play the role of his wife in public, but in fact they live separately. She is burdened by this official role, all the time tries to avoid it, dismisses and sets the conditions, but the situation obliges it.
The series was made excellently - this is the classic “Drama in the courtroom”, and in addition to the through line of the heroine, the scriptwriters literally with the heat of the heat included in the plots of the series of the re -trial of the most topical affairs. No one promised that Alisha is a good person. And her concepts about what is good is subordinated to the main rod, the main truth of her nature. There was no love, attraction, already grown up, and everyone understood the children - but she, as promised, frantically, fanatically, frenzied a good and devoted wife, ready to destroy anyone who jeopardizes her husband.
