Today, March 13, a small program of films about Berlin begins in the Moscow Documentary Cinema Center (not to be confused with the Berlin School - there will be nothing of the kind here). Four paintings of young German directors talk about different - including rather fantastic - sides of life in the club capital of Europe.

So, you know nothing about modern life at all. ” Such words can be heard anywhere. People from all over the world come to Berlin to plunge into the notorious Berlin nightlife and get acquainted with his diverse art scene. However, instead of “plunging” it would be more correct to say “go down”, because night clubs in Berlin are usually located in the basements. The film of Arta Bumiller “Oh Yeah, Berlin” is a short guide for the underground labyrinths of the night city. Its heroes are party members, artists and musicians. The dancing and sparkling female-Shar Bella Berlin, the Elektrook Zvezda Piece Krach, Mr. Timeless with his huge collection of hours without time, scotch art and video mapping artists-kitsch, camp and pop avant-garde, in short, Typish Berliner.

However, against the backdrop of the madness of past decades, today's fun of the capital looks almost decorous and bourgeois. But almost all these clubs exist illegally - and therefore close one after another. So each film about Berlin’s nightly life threatens to turn into a posthumous monument to her (it is funny that a delegation of Berlin municipal officials, just eliminating these establishments), will speak before the Moscow show of Bumiller’s film).
