The teacher of the kindergarten Evgeny Chudnovets, sentenced in December 2016 to five months in prison for repost of a video with mockery of a young boy, was released from a colony in Nizhny Tagil. Earlier, the Kurgan Regional Court abolished the verdict of a Chudnovets on the proposal of the Supreme Court, which found that there was no corpus delicti in the actions of the convicted person. Chudnovets received the right to rehabilitation.

March 7, Tuesday

By decree of the President of the Russian Federation, a resident of Sochi Oksana Sevastidi was pardoned, who in March 2016 was sentenced to seven years in colony for state treason. In 2008, Sevastidi sent a friend who lived in Georgia several SMS that she saw in Sochi a train with military equipment.

Four participants of an unauthorized action were detained on the territory of the Moscow Kremlin, who deployed posters with the slogans “Woman - to the President”, “All Power - Women” and others, as well as three journalists. After some time, the detainees were released from the China-Gorod police department without charges.

In St. Petersburg, nine activists were detained for violation of the law “On meetings, rallies, demonstrations, processions and pickets”. Participants in the procession (according to the organizers, about 300 people) took place with the slogans “Freedom, equality, sisterhood”, “Friendship between women is beautiful” and others along Nevsky Prospekt. The eight detainees were released in the evening, and Alexei Ivanov remained in the 78th police department for a day: he was accused of "violence against a representative of the authorities."

March 10, Friday

Activist Ildar Dadin was detained by the FSIN building after he refused to present a passport to the police. Dadin left him at home, later the activist’s wife brought the document to the Yakimanka police department, and he was released. Ildar Dadin and human rights activist Lev Ponomarev, replacing each other, spent a single picket from the Federal Penitentiary Service with a demand for the resignation of the head of the FSIN Office in Karelia Alexander Terekh. At the time of detention, according to Dadin, he stood without a poster.
