There are no grounds for transferring museum exhibits from the Isaac's Cathedral to other institutions, since the ROC has not yet received an official application for the transfer of the temple. This was stated by vice-governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Kirillov, Interfax reports .

“To date, the administration of St. Petersburg did not receive the official appeal of the Russian Orthodox Church on the transfer of the Isaac's Cathedral for free use. Therefore, there are no grounds for considering the issue of transferring museum values ​​from the cathedral to other museums,” his press service quotes Kirillov.

At the same time, the vice-governor admitted that the question of moving part of museum funds in the case of transferring the cathedral to the use of the Russian Orthodox Church is being worked out. “The most preferred option for storing museum values ​​and the placement of the exposition is the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg,” Kirillov noted. “It was in this museum until 1963 that the exposition was located, which later formed the museum exposition of the Isaac's Cathedral, which in 1983 acquired an independent museum status.”

In any case, the legal status of the State Museum-Monthine "Isaac's Cathedral" will be preserved, the vice-governor assured. The museum will remain under the jurisdiction of St. Petersburg and "continue full -fledged activities", and the issue of employees of all employees of the museum "will be positively resolved," Kirillov promised.

Meanwhile, the Smolninsky district court of St. Petersburg sharply accelerated the consideration of the claim of opponents of the transfer of the Council of the Russian Orthodox Church. The next meeting, originally scheduled for April 17, will take place on Wednesday, reports Fontanka.ru.

On Tuesday, RBC, citing sources in the Ministry of Culture and federal officials, said that the authorities of St. Petersburg verbally demanded from the director of the Museum "Isaacievsky Cathedral" Nikolai Burov by April 16, when the Russian Orthodox celebrate Easter and transfer exhibits from the temple to a new vault . The main keeper of the State Museum of Mansur Dominov said that this requirement is impossible. According to him, in the Isaac's Cathedral there are about 26 thousand moved museum objects and only 62 objects inseparable from the cathedral. “If everything is built as the law requires, according to the instructions, this is not so simple. The date of April 16 - it is absolutely invented. Where it came from, we do not know. It is unreal,” Dominov emphasized. The press service of the Ministry of Culture also excluded the transfer of exhibits from Isaac to the transfer of the Council of the Russian Orthodox Church.

On Monday, at a meeting in the Smolninsky District Court, at the suit of opponents of the transfer of the ROC, the representative of the city’s property relations committee reported that officials did not receive an official statement from the Russian Orthodox Church on the transfer of the cathedral. "The statements from the religious organization in the manner prescribed by federal law were not submitted. The decision cannot be made in its absence," she said. The representative of the committee emphasized that the Kio order of December 30 on the procedure for preparing for the transfer of the cathedral "does not bear legal consequences."

The transfer of Isaacia of the Russian Orthodox Church, which was already considered a resolved issue, was suspended in mid -February when information appeared in the media that this step was not coordinated with Vladimir Putin .
