Eurovision 2017: Who is immoral?

Moscow sends a disabled girl to Kyiv, and Kyiv is not averse to criminal prosecution

Channel One announced the Russian candidate for Eurovision - and it began: insults, accusations and other political flood. Most of all in this situation, it is a pity for Julia Samoilova, a 27-year-old singer from Ukhta, whom they are now writing about-“Russia in a wheelchair”. To put it mildly, this is a lead.

No one thinks about how she sings. Everyone says only about disability. And also about the Crimea, where Julia spoke in 2015 at the Patriotic Festival “World of Sports and Good”. So, now she is closed to the entrance to the territory of Ukraine.

In less than a few hours, the deputy of the Rada Anton Gerashchenko proposed to close Samoilova. Then he thought and proposed an alternative option: let him come, and we will delay it here for violation of Ukrainian laws. A worthy answer: you are immoral, and we will be more immoral.

To Mr. Gerashchenko, I and my colleagues have a personal account. It was he who founded the site "Peacemaker", on which the personal data of the enemies of Ukraine are laid out in packs. Those whom Gerashchenko considers enemies. ATU, poison them, now you can. A year ago, “Peacemaker” published the names of journalists who traveled to the Donbass. Among them are me and my friends. Although I personally did not write anything anti -Ukrainian, rather, on the contrary, but it noits. Now I am also an enemy of the Ukrainian state.

To become an enemy today is nowhere easier.

They say that in the spring of 2014, Samoilova wrote on her page on social networks: “Those who are now dug in power in Kyiv want to surrender Ukraine to the European Union, and Ukraine needs the EU to establish a hostile border with Russia.” Now the record is deleted. But even if so, if she wrote. This is just an opinion. And in the present time very soft. Neither insults nor call to destroy the Ukrainian nation and burn Ukrainian cities. There is still a difference between Samoilova and Chicherina, although both of Julia, and both have problems entering Ukraine. After all, Chicherina not only went to perform in the Donbass, she openly supports the war, supports the “DPR” and her statements - there is nowhere to go sharply. On the verge of kindergarten, and sometimes beyond the line.

Samoilov did nothing similar. But it’s easier to hang on all collective responsibility, and not to understand the nuances.

Ernst and Gerashchenko - this is not the first time, by the way, they compete in who will repact who, who is more unscrupulous, cynical. And two huge countries, Russia and Ukraine, obediently play according to their rules. They are indignant, argue, watering each other with mud. How easy it is to make us ...

... There are many complaints about Eurovision. What are these fake smiles, plastic clips, melodies, calculated on a computer and similar to one another ... sincerity, work there did not spend the night. The only value of the competition, in my opinion, is in interethnic communication on non -building reasons. The artists come, sing songs, applaud them, despite who is from which country. What is bad about that?

I want to remind the details of the voting at last year's Eurovision: Russian spectators voted at Jamalu that time, and Ukrainians were for Russian Sergei Lazarev. And only the members of the jury - each for their own. How will it be this time?

But today there is a situation that gives officials of both countries to earn political capital on music. And until Eurovision will not perceive as something or another connected with art (high, low, it doesn’t matter), this will happen constantly. This is not often remembered, but there are ten or eleven European countries that have been refused to participate in EV for several years. Their position is close and understandable to me. If in 2017 Russia is added to the list of these countries, I do not see any trouble.

- It is strange to hear the indignation of the Russians who illegally crossed the border between the Russian Federation and the annexed territory of Ukraine, when they are put on the list of banners. Julia Samoilova is one of the violators of the law and, in my opinion, should be deprived of the right to enter. I am sure that such a formulation of the question was not a surprise for the Russian side - this is a conscious provocation: propaganda will fully use this information farmer. But the law is the law. I don’t know if citizens of the Russian Federation are included in such lists on the fact of illegal crossing of the border or after the investigation of the SBU. But it seems to me that the hype has arisen is a sufficient reason for such an investigation.

Yes, what is happening is really a cold war in show business. But it is natural and inevitable in the conditions of a “hot” war in the Donbass. Between Ukraine and Russia, an unresolved, bloody issue is a military confrontation. It is strange, if this had not been reflected in all areas of relations between countries.

Life and death of people are more important things than music. There is no “house” in which you can pretend that nothing is happening. “We have a war here, but here we have no war” is hypocrisy. We are a country in respect of which aggression is carried out, daily taking the lives of our compatriots. And if one of the levers that will put pressure on the aggressor may become Eurovision or any other cultural or sporting event, it is not a sin to use this lever.

- It is disgusted that the Russian authorities, who are in no hurry to solve the everyday problems of people with disabilities and are pumping hatred of political correctness, are trying to use people in their political games. It is unpleasant to see the musician as a victim of the Cold War, generated, however, by the war quite real. Julia remains to wish a successful performance and as few nasty things as possible by officials, TV presenters and other representatives of both countries.
