In Tatarstan, members of Hizb Ut-Tahrir were detained

In the Republic of Tatarstan, 15 alleged participants in Hizb Ut-Tairer were detained-an organization that is considered terrorist in Russia. This was reported on March 14 on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan.

The message on the website of the department says:

During the searches conducted by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the RT and the Office of the Russian Guard in the Republic of Tatarstan at 30 addresses in Kazan, Bugulma, as well as in the Vysokogorsky, Zelenodolsk, Nizhnekamsk and Nurlats districts, a large number of prohibited literature MTO “Hizb Ut-Tahrir” were seized, and notes with records of recipe records of recipe members of the terrorist organization, as well as reporting documents on electronic media, confirming aggressive anti -constitutional work among the Muslims of the republic.

Currently, the investigating authorities have been instituted 13 criminal cases under Part 1 and Part 2 of Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities of such an organization).

The Islamist Party "Hizb Ut-Tahrir" by the decision of the Supreme Court is recognized as a terrorist organization. However, a number of experts of human rights organizations believe that there is no reason for this, since members of the Hizb Ut-Tahrir were not seen in involvement in the commission or preparation of terrorist attacks. In recent years, in different regions of Russia there have been a lot of cases under the article on the activities of a terrorist organization, within the framework of which people are actually accused of terrorism exclusively on the basis of “party activity” (meetings, reading literature).

It is reported that one person also disappeared, the other, when trying to hide, fell from the 5th floor and is now in a hospital with fractures.
