In Moscow, on Wednesday night, the chief editor of the analytical edition of the Prochrevsky news agency REGNUM, a citizen of Belarus, Yuri Baranchik, was detained on Wednesday. This was reported by colleagues of the detainee.

Branchik was delivered to OP "Dorogomilovo". The head of the department’s duty unit refused to allow REGNUM to the detainee.

The agency suspects that the lamb was detained at the request of Belarus, who previously arrested three of its citizens - authors of REGNUM. We are talking about Dmitry Alimkin, Yuri Pavlovtse and Sergey Shiptenko, about the sending of which in the pre -trial detention center became known in early December 2016. All three faces up to five years in colony under part 1 of Article 130 of the Criminal Code of the country (excitement of national hostility or razor).

The reason for initiating the case was the articles of Alimkin, Pavlovts and Shiptenko, published under pseudonyms both in REGNUM and in feed and on the EADAILI website. In particular, Pavlovtsa is charged with publications in the film.ru about the attitude of Minsk to the annexation of Crimea, the possible successors of President Alexander Lukashenko and the activation of nationalists in Belarus, and Alimkin - such articles in REGNUM as “Belarus leaves the Russian world by the Superior experience” and “Nebandeans of Ukraine and the neo -Nazi” Sovetskoye Belarusia ": Gemini-brothers."

Even then it was mentioned that it was Baranchik who attracted all three to cooperation with REGNUM.

On December 10, the Minister of Information of Belarus Lilia Ananich urged the Russian authorities to take measures against some media, the publications of which are cast in doubt on the sovereignty of her country. “Such publications are harmful to both Belarus and Russia,” the official noted.
