The Razdolnensky district court of the annexed Crimea began consideration on the merits of the case of the Ukrainian activist Vladimir Balukh, who was accused of illegal storage of ammunition. This was reported by the Crimean human rights group.

Before the hearing began, Judge Maria Bedritskaya explained to the Baluh that he could declare divets. To which the political prisoner replied that he did not trust the judge and the prosecutor, but he considers to give petitions a waste of time.

The court questioned four witnesses of the prosecution. In this capacity, a fellow Balukh was called, in the testimony positively described the defendant. Baluha’s wife Natalya said that during a search in the house there were at least 16 people. These people moved around the household and went into the premises on their own, without the presence of the owners.

The two employees of the Razdolnensky police department in their testimony noted that the initiator of the searches in the house of Baluha and his mother was the FSB, and that the protocols were drawn up by special services.

The next meeting is scheduled for March 20. Judge Bedritskaya decided to force him to bring the son of Balukh, who is now in South America.

Baluhu is 46 years old, he is a farmer from the village of Serebryanka of the Razdolnensky district. The activist was detained by FSB operatives on December 8, 2016 following a search in the houses of his mother. From December 12, it is contained under arrest.

Part 1 of Article 222 of the Russian Criminal Code (illegal turnover of ammunition) Baluhu threatens up to four years in the colony. According to the security forces, during a search in his attic they found 90 rounds and several Tyotyl checkers. Politzek does not plead guilty. He insists that the operatives themselves threw ammunition.

In December 2013, in the first weeks of the Revolution of Dignity, Baluh hung a red-black flag of the Ukrainian rebel army over his house. After some time at night, this flag was secretly disrupted, and the farmer replaced it with the national flag of Ukraine. The activist did not recognize the annexation of Crimea and did not apply for Russian citizenship.

In 2015, the Baluha twice took searches. In addition, he was arrested for 15 days according to the fabricated protocol on the disobedience of the police. Then, the case was opened against the activist under Article 319 of the Russian Criminal Code (insulting a representative of the authorities), according to which he was sentenced to 320 hours of compulsory work in June 2016. The verdict was pronounced by the same judge Bedritskaya, who now extended the period of detention in the pre -trial detention center. The activist refused to serve his work, and he was replaced by a 40-day arrest.

On November 29, a week and a half before the detention, Baluh attached a sign on the wall of his house "Wulitz heroes of heavenly, 18". The authorities demanded the sign to remove, threatening the persecution, but the activist ignored the demand.

At the end of December, Baluh announced unacceptable conditions of detention in jail . The Politzek said that the camera is crowded - there are almost three times more prisoners there than Nar - and it is very difficult for him to breathe with bronchitis. On December 28, an activist transported to the Razdolnensky IVS to participate in the court to extend the arrest called an ambulance.

On January 23, 2017, Lawyer Taras Omelchenko, after a meeting with Balukh, said that his client was undergoing beatings in the Simferopol pre-trial detention center-1 . Traces of beatings were visible on the face of Politzek. In addition, on January 17, Baluh had an acute attack of urolithiasis. In the medical unit of the pre -trial detention center, the prisoner was put a dropper. Baluh also told Omelchenko about problems with the digestive system, in particular with the stomach that began due to unsatisfactory nutrition in the insulator.

On March 2, at the preliminary hearings, Judge Maria Bedritskaya extended the Baluhu period of detention in the pre -trial detention center for three months - until June 4.
