Judge of the Smolninsky District Court of St. Petersburg Tatyana Matusyak refused to consider the collective lawsuit of thirty Petersburgers against the city committee of property management on the illegality of the transfer of the St. Isaac's Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church. The plaintiffs demanded that the order of the Committee of December 30 "On the use of the property at Petersburg, Isaacievskaya Square, the house of the letter A" with the application. "The disputed order is not a decision on the transfer of the religious organization of property of religious significance," the court ruling said. The judge again referred to the legal position of the higher instance. The City Court previously decided that the plan of measures on the transfer of the cathedral does not mean the transfer itself and does not give rise to violations of citizens' rights to access museum values.

On Friday, members of the Growth Fairy faction in the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg turned to the TFR with a request to check the actions of officials preparing the transfer of the St. Isaac's Cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church and the unification of the Russian state and Russian national (former public) libraries. The authors of the appeal note that the authorities of St. Petersburg began to give orders for the implementation of these projects, despite the fact that the Ministry of Culture did not yet make official decisions on the transfer of the cathedral and did not plan to unite libraries.

Deputies ask the TFR to identify officials "involved in the above acts" and verify their actions for exceeding official powers.

Meanwhile, the director of the museum "Isaac's Cathedral" Nikolai Burov said that he did not receive any written orders or instructions on the release of the building. According to him, it will take about eight months to pack the museum exhibits, and the cost of this work will be 139 million rubles. "This amount includes the assessment of the manufacturers of the containers, the order for the packaging, in fact, is the packaging itself. This is not included in insurance and transportation, but they are much less. The instructions that regulate the movements of such items are very strict, and we must adhere to them absolutely," Burov noted. He cracked that these calculations are preliminary. Burov also said that the new building to the museum "has not yet been provided."

On Thursday, Judge Matusyak stopped administrative proceedings in a similar claim. She also referred to the decision of the city court. On the termination of the case, the Committee of Property Relations of the Administration of St. Petersburg insisted. The four plaintiffs and the representative of Burov opposed.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Moscow Patriarchate said that the official appeal of the Council’s transfer would be submitted only after it would be determined which museum values ​​will be transferred to the use of the Russian Orthodox Church and which will remain the museum. At the same time, the Patriarchate noted that they proceed from the plan approved by the Committee of Property Relations of St. Petersburg.

On Tuesday, RBC, citing sources in the Ministry of Culture and federal officials, said that the authorities of St. Petersburg verbally demanded from Burov by April 16, when the Russian Orthodox celebrate Easter, transport exhibits from the temple to a new repository . On the same day, the vice-governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Kirillov said that there are no grounds for transferring museum exhibits from the cathedral to other institutions, since the ROC has not yet received an official application for the transfer of the temple . At the same time, the vice-governor admitted that the question of moving part of museum funds in the case of transferring the cathedral to the use of the Russian Orthodox Church is being worked out. “The most preferred option for storing museum values ​​and the placement of the exposition is the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg,” Kirillov noted. “It was in this museum until 1963 that the exposition was located, which later formed the museum exposition of the Isaac's Cathedral, which in 1983 acquired an independent museum status.”

In any case, the legal status of the State Museum-Monthine "Isaac's Cathedral" will be preserved, the vice-governor assured. The museum will remain under the jurisdiction of St. Petersburg and "continue full -fledged activities", and the issue of employees of all employees of the museum "will be positively resolved," Kirillov promised.
