Mari El Government will create a working group to prepare a program for the development of a supporting university based on Volgatech

The Mari El government creates an interdepartmental working group to prepare a supporting university development program on the basis of the Volga State Technological University (Volgatech). The order was published on the official Internet portal of the authorities of the region on March 17.

The working group includes 15 people: ministers of the regional government, mayor of Yoshkar-Ola, rector and president of Volgatech. First Deputy Prime Minister Mari El Nikolai Kuklin was appointed head. By March 20, the collegial deliberative body should accept the measures to prepare the project for the development of the support university on the basis of the PGTU.

On March 2, the rector of the support universities was announced on the preparation of the application for participation in the second stage of the competition by the rector of Margu Mikhail Shvetsov . Shvetsov believes that the State University is able to be among the supporting universities, since in recent years it was possible to achieve high indicators.

Acceptance of applications for participation in the second stage of the competition began on February 20 and will end on March 20.
