Kirov’s authorities refused to conduct a rally against corruption at the city hall and on the main square

The City Hall of Kirov forbade the organizers of the rally against corruption to conduct it with the city administration or on Theater Square. This was “ 7x7 ” by one of the initiators of the public event, the head of the regional branch of Parnas Vadim Ananin .

According to Ananin, the notice was filed at the city hall on March 15. In the document, a rally demanding to investigate the facts of corruption of senior officials of Russia was declared on March 26 by the Kirov administration, the number of participants - 101 people. The notification noted that if the rally of the city hall is not agreed, then the organizers agree to change the venue to the theater square. The city hall refused to hold a rally at both venues, referring to the regional law on the ban on public events near educational, medical, sports and other organizations. An alternative option was proposed - at the monument Stepan Khalturin. Ananin said “ 7x7 ” that he would most likely agree to hold a rally at the monument.

Promotions on the same topic in various formats on March 26 are going to hold in 77 cities of Russia. The reason for this was the investigation of the Corruption Fund “He is not Dimon”, whose authors accused of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev of bribery and other corruption crimes.

In 2012, a law prohibiting public actions was adopted in the Kirov region, with the exception of picket, at airports, stations, social infrastructure facilities, in educational, cultural, entertainment institutions, at public transport and children's and sports ground stops. In 2015, the law changed - it became impossible to arrange shares in the surrounding territories. In Kirov, for example, this distance depending on the object is from 100 to 250 meters. According to social activists, because of this restrictions, it is impossible to conduct public socio-political actions in the city center.
