Factors determining the quality of life in Russia are, among other things, the environmental situation, real estate prices and the situation on the roads.
In terms of quality of life, Russia is inferior to Belarus, Ukraine, India and Egypt. This is evidenced by the rating of the Numbeo database. Russia scored 85.93 points out of 200, settled in 61st place. Belarus is in 46th place from 119.23 points, Ukraine - in 59th place (87.49) points.
According to the Numbeo rating, the majority of developing world economies are also ahead of Russia, including India (51st place), Brazil (53th place) and China (57th place).
Analyzing the place of Russia in the Numbeo list, Forbes magazine notes that among the factors that played the role in determining the place of the Russian Federation in the ranking were weather, traffic jams on capital roads, high housing prices in large cities and the environmental situation.
The Forbes publication compares the quality of life in Russia and the United States of America, which in the Numbeo rating, also take 7th place. Thus, the level of air pollution in Russia is almost twice higher, and climatic conditions are five times worse, the purchasing power of Americans exceeds the Russian one more than doubled, and the healthcare system in the United States is 12 points ahead of the Russian one.
At the same time, the level of security in the Russian Federation is slightly higher than in the United States (53.81 points versus 51.69), and the cost of life in Russia is significantly lower than in the United States (42.01 points versus 75.42).
