The prosecutor's office found violations in the work of the pre-trial detention center where the top manager of Roscosmos died

The Moscow prosecutor's office found violations in the work of the city SIZO-5, where the former executive director of Roscosmos, Vladimir Evdokimov, accused of fraud, died.

The statement of the prosecutor's office, following the results of checking the circumstances of Yevdokimov's death, said that the administration of SIZO-5 did not ensure "control over the behavior of Yevdokimov and other persons held in the cell" and did not find and seize the knife that killed the prisoner in a timely manner.

A submission was made to the head of the FSIN department in Moscow demanding "to take comprehensive measures to prevent such violations of the law in the future."

• Former executive director of Roscosmos Vladimir Evdokimov has been in custody since December 2016. He was accused of fraud - according to the investigation, together with his accomplices, he fraudulently seized the rights to the property of the MiG corporation.
• On March 18, his body was found in the toilet of a cell in SIZO-5. According to reports, his cellmates claim that they were asleep at the time of the murder. A month before the murder, he was transferred from the special block to a regular cell without video surveillance.
