The Togliatti administration refused to agree on a rally against corruption planned on March 26 as part of the All-Russian action “He is not Dimon”, the reason for which was an investigation into the corruption of Alexei Navalny about Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. This was reported on the Twitter page of the ally of Navalny Leonid Volkov.
The city hall, as the reason for the refusal to agree on the rally, called the emergency situation on March 20 on the site where the rally should take place. According to representatives of the authorities, "at the site of the intersection of the streets of the revolutionary and Frunze near the Victory Park of the Avtozavodsky District, the power supply cable of street lighting was out of order."
Earlier, in the approval of applications for rallies on March 26, it was denied a number of cities.
In Yekaterinburg, on March 21, the court rejected the lawsuit of Navalny's supporters against the Ministry of Public Security, which forbade a rally against corruption in the city on March 26. The court took the side of the department, agreeing that the event can be aimed at undermining the territorial integrity of the state, a violent change in the constitutional system, undermining the security of the state and agitation aimed at initiating social and national hatred.
