
Russia will pay Bosnia and Herzegovina more than $ 125 million on an account of outstanding debt for the obligations of the former USSR. This was told by the Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia Sergey Storchak, it is quoted by Prime .
“Today, an intergovernmental agreement was signed between the Russian Federation and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the settlement of the obligations of the former USSR for calculations related to trade between the former USSR and the former Yugoslavia,” Storchak explained.
According to the deputy minister, the funds will be transferred within 45 days. He added that Bosnia and Herzegovina remained the last creditor of the former USSR, who was never paid. Debts to Croatia, Serbia, Montenegrin, Slovenia and Macedonia paid off in the period 2011-2017.
So, in February 2017, the Ministry of Finance spoke about the payment of the USSR debt to Macedonia. The debt amounted to $ 60.6 million. Russia paid off the debt with “supplies of industrial products and the provision of relevant services,” the department explained.
