The resistance of the townspeople, whom the upcoming program will inevitably collide, can have a completely different scale. Demolitions rarely pass peacefully. Conflicts even accompany the resettlement of Moscow houses for a couple of dozen apartments. But now we are talking about demolition plans about 8 thousand buildings with a total area of over 25 million square meters, in which 1.6 million people live - more than the population of Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod or Kazan.
Commenting on the failure of the previous campaign for the demolition of five -story buildings, the deputy mayor for construction Marat Khusnullin complained that “some of the inhabitants categorically do not want to move from these houses (demolished series. - Republic ). Up to 20% of the entire program goes to the courts. <...> Most people want to move, but there are others. ” However, these “others” will surely try to resettle against their will - that is, on obviously unprofitable conditions. In order not to become victims of grandiose plans to update the capital, citizens will have to be active.
