Great Britain limited the transport of gadgets for air passengers from six countries

The authorities of Great Britain forbade citizens from six countries to transport a number of electronic devices in hand luggage. It is reported by the BBC.

The measure applies to passengers from Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia. The citizens of these countries flying direct flights to the UK, are prohibited from carrying phones, laptops or tablets on the plane, the dimensions of which are exceeding 16 x 9.3 x 1.5 centimeters in length, width and height. Such devices must be recorded in baggage.

“In our opinion, these steps are necessary to ensure security passengers during travel,” the representative of the Government of Great Britain explained to Reuters .

Earlier on March 21, the US authorities forbade residents of some countries to transport any equipment in hand luggage except mobile phones and medical devices, the agency added. The ban has spread to flights of ten airports of Cairo, Amman, Kuwait, Casablanca, Dochi, Istanbul, as well as on airplanes from Saudi Arabia (from Riyadh and Gidda) and the UAE (from Abu Daby and Dubai).

The US Ministry of Internal Security explained that in laptops, tablets, cameras, DVD players and electronic gaming devices, explosive devices can be hidden.
