The State Duma announced the start of S-400 supplies to China

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Vladimir Gutenev announced the beginning of the supply of anti-aircraft missile systems S-400 Triumph to China, writes Interfax .

“We have now put the first divisions in China [S-400],” said Gutenev.

The deputy also said that India and Türkiye are “standing in line” for the S-400.

Rosoboronexport and the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of Russia officially did not comment on this information, the agency said.

The corresponding contract with China for the supply of complexes was concluded in April 2015. Earlier it was reported that deliveries will begin in 2018.

In October 2016, Russia and India signed an intergovernmental agreement on the supply of systems, the parties plan to conclude a contract before the end of 2017.

The S-400 Triumph was developed by the Almaz-Antei concern and is designed to defeat aircraft, missiles, hypersonic targets and other air attack means. The system is able to hit ballistic targets at a distance of up to 60 kilometers, and aerodynamic - at a distance of up to 400 kilometers.
