The chief editor of Vedomosti will be Ilya Bulavinov, the publication reports . This decision was made by the board of directors of the publication. Bulavinov will take the editorial office in mid -April, the contract with it will be signed for two years. The current chief editor Tatyana Lysova remains in the Council of Directors of Vedomosti at least until the end of this year.

According to the co -owner of the newspaper Demyan Kudryavtsev, four members of the board of directors, for another candidate, chief editor of the Vedomosti site Ekaterina Derbilov - three voted for Bulavinov. Derbilova’s candidacy was proposed by the Council of the editorial board. Lysova refused to comment.

After a meeting of the Board of Directors, Kudryavtsev answered the editorial questions for more than an hour. Journalists asked the owner how sure that Bulavinov could maintain the independence of the Vedomosti editorial policy, especially considering his work on the First Channel and in RIA Novosti. They were also interested in how the editorial policy would change with the advent of the new headicle. Kudryavtsev believes that the new editor -in -chief "is not subject to any pressure from the outside." He also noted that Bulavinov has experience in the integration of editorial offices of various types of media-printed and Internet media, radio and television, which is important in the era of strengthening digital-component media business.

Kudryavtsev refused to talk about specific changes, citing the fact that he had no right to interfere in the editorial policy, and suggested discussing this with the new editor. Bulavinov himself was neither on the Council of Directors, nor in the editorial office. By telephone, the new editor -in -chief refused to discuss possible changes in the strategy of Vedomosti, saying that at first he should get acquainted with people.

Bulavinov is 44 years old. He began to study at the faculty of foreign military information and journalism of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense, but later transferred to the journalism faculty of Moscow State University. Most of his career, from 1993 to 2013, Bulavinov worked at Kommersant, for some time under the leadership of Kudryavtsev. He was a military correspondent, editor of the policy department, deputy chief credit and editor -in -chief of Kommersant.ru. In 2013-2014, he led the RIA Novosti website, and three years ago he headed the Directorate of the Internet Channel One.

In the spring of 2015, immediately after the acquisition of shares of the Vedomosti newspaper, Kudryavtsev stated that he did not intend to replace the leadership of the publication , including Lysov and managing director Gleb Prozorov.

Last fall, the editor -in -chief of Vedomosti Lysova informed the board of directors of JSC Business News Media about his intention to leave his post at the end of the first quarter of 2017.

Glavred connected its departure exclusively with personal circumstances. “I have children schoolchildren, and most of their life they saw their mother only in the morning and on weekends. This is bad for them and for me. It is high time to pay more attention to them while they still need it,” Lysova noted.

The Vedomosti report emphasized that the departure of Lysova is exclusively its initiative, there are no external or internal corporate reasons to solve. Possible candidates for the post of new editor -in -chief of Vedomosti were not discussed at a meeting of the Council. Lysova also had no suggestions about another work.
