He called the overlap of Tverskaya Street for the march "reasonable and modest." According to Navalny, there is a lot of space in the Central Administrative District for holding a promotion, and if they do not offer any option in the center, then he will act according to the original plan.
The opposition recalled that for the Moscow Jam festival in Moscow, “The whole city center” was blocked. "Do we have less rights than that of jam fans?" - asked Navalny.
On March 18, the Moscow City Hall refused Navalny to hold a rally on Tverskaya Square, without proposing an alternative option, as required by the law. The politician said that in this case he considers the rally agreed, referring to the decision of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation.
Navalny submitted an application for the action on March 14. He proposed a route that passed from the Square of the Tver outpost to Okhotny. The declared number of participants is 15 thousand people.
The purpose of the event is to fight corruption and investigation of the activities of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. The Foundation for Combating Corruption (FBK) has published an investigation dedicated to the secret assets of Medvedev, which included yachts, mansions, elite land ownership and winery. The FBK claimed that he bought them for “bribes of oligarchs and credits of the state banks” using a “criminal scheme”, based on the premiere’s non -profit funds.
