The Supreme Court of Crimea extended the detention of the chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Akhtem Chiygoz for three months from April 8 to July 8. This was announced by lawyer Nikolai Polozov on his Facebook page.
Akhtem Chiygoz was detained on January 29, 2015 on suspicion of organizing mass riots as part of a case initiated in connection with the clashes in Simferopol on February 26, 2014.
