
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the murder of the ex-deputy of the State Duma from the Communist Party of the Communist Party of Denis Voronenkov "an act of state terrorism by Russia." This was announced by his press secretary Svyatoslav Tsegolko.
“The insidious murder in the center of Kyiv Denis Voronenkov is an act of state terrorism from Russia, which he was forced to leave for political reasons. The obvious handwriting of the Russian special services, previously repeatedly manifested in different European capitals, ”he quotes the words of Poroshenko.
The President of Ukraine emphasized that Voronenkov "was one of the main witnesses of Russian aggression against Ukraine and, in particular, the role of Yanukovych on the introduction of Russian troops in Ukraine."
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the murder of the ex-deputy of the State Duma is not the topic of the Kremlin. He added that Vladimir Putin was reported to the incident.
At the same time, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and the National Police emphasized that they consider Russia to be involved in the murder of Voronenkov, since he was "a bearer of important information." The Kyiv police called the murder of the ex-deputy of the custom.
Denis Voronenkov was shot dead in the center of Kyiv on March 23, he went to meet with the former deputy of the State Duma Ilya Ponomarev. An unknown killer shot at Voronenkova, as a result of the shootout, the killer and the guard of the ex-deputy were injured, they are in the hospital.
Voronenkov left Russia in October 2016. In early 2017, he called the vote on the Crimea in the Duma illegal and said that the pursuit of the FSB prompted him to move. After these statements, the SK announced Voronenkov on the wanted list in the 2011 raiding case.
