The experimental site of the theater.doc lost the premises after the police visit

After the visit of the police transformer.doc, the experimental site of the theater of the Documentary Play Theater.doc, lost the premises in the territory of the art-wire-article art. This was reported by the artistic director of the theater Mikhail Ugarov.

“No official papers have been filed, not formulated claims have been made - as always, simple gangster intimidation,” said Ugarov.

The "transformer" was provided for free of the premises by unnamed tenants of the area "Electric plant". However, the administration of art-whale and police constantly put pressure on them. On February 19, at the "Transformer" for the evening of the memory of Yegor Letov, the police came accompanied by a dog handler with a dog. On March 3, the police came to the show of Andrei Gryazev’s film about the War art group. Both events took place. Police officers explained their visit to the information received from the E -E center.

In this situation, the tenants of space decided to urgently stop cooperation with the“ transformer ”and theater.doc. We want to thank these people for the opportunity to work fruitfully for four months,” said the director Vsevolod Lisovsky. “And we are looking for a new space.”

Theater.doc was created in 2002 by playwrights Ugarov, Elena Gremina and Alexander Rodinov. Ugarov is one of the creators of the New Drama festival (now the new play) and the festival of the young drama "Lyubimovka".

In July 2015, the prosecutor's office fined the theater.doc for 500 thousand rubles on charges of violating fire safety rules. The fire safety check in the premises of the theater at the rampant was held on May 7 , the day after the premiere of the documentary performance "Swamp business" based on the play by Polina Borodina. At the same time, a dog handler with a dog checked the premises before the premiere itself, two policemen were present at the performance, and a police bus stood at the entrance to the theater.

On May 28, the owner of the premises on a rampant terminated the lease with the theater.doc . On June 23, the theater moved to a new place. He rented two premises in different buildings at M. Kazynoy per., 12.

The theater.doc was only a few months in the rampant, after the Moscow Property Department of the Moscow Property Award and without explaining the reasons unilaterally terminated the lease of the premises in Trekhprudnaya Lane, where the theater worked since 2002.
