Trump withdrew the bill on the abolition of healthcare reform Obamacare

Republicans in the House of Representatives of the US Congress recalled the bill on the abolition of a compulsory medical insurance program introduced by the previous President Barack Obama.

According to CNN, the speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan notified President Donald Trump that the Republican Party would not gain the right number of votes in order for the bill to be approved.

The medical insurance reform adopted by Obama in 2010, known as Obamacare (Obamaker), provides subsidies to the poor for medical assistance. Most owners of such insurance receive subsidies from the state. Critics of the reform call it too expensive: because of it, taxes for some citizens of the country were significantly increased.

During the election campaign, Trump opposed Obamacare and repeatedly promised to cancel the reform. Obama’s initiative was also criticized by the republican majority in Congress.
