The court arrested the organizer of an anti-corruption rally in Saransk

The Oktyabrsky District Court of Saransk arrested Kirill Matyavin, the organizer of an anti-corruption rally, on March 24. The activist received 10 days of arrest for beatings (Article 6.1.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), which he allegedly inflicted on a girl from a pro-Putin organization on March 23, 2017. This is reported by "VKontakte" Sergei Maryin.

“For those who know the situation, this is clearly a provocation in order to prevent a rally on March 26, 2017 on Millennium Square in the city of Saransk from 14:00 to 17:00, since Kirill is the organizer of the rally,” writes Marin.

On the same day, Matyavin was also fined for "hooliganism."
