The sixth rally against raising tariffs was held in Novosibirsk

The sixth protest against raising communal tariffs by 15% since July 2017 was held on the central square of Novosibirsk on March 25. The participants demanded to cancel the “politically erroneous” indexation and again expressed distrust of the leadership of the region, the regional center, as well as city deputies.

The rally organized by the Committee of Protest Actions gathered more than a thousand people who came to Lenin Square, despite the zero temperature and drizzling rain.

According to the observation of Taiga.info correspondents, the audience was significantly different from the previous action , which took place on March 19 with the participation of Alexei Navalny. If, in many respects, Novosibirsks participated 30–40 years old, representatives of the middle class and youth, then this time almost 100% of the audience amounted to pensioners who warmly supported each performance from the rostrum and willingly agreed to keep the posters made by the organizers.

Most of the theses and requirements coincided with the agenda of the alternative organizing committee (both spent three rallies), but sounded closer to the elderly audience without a liberal context.

“We gathered to say a decisive“ no ”unjust, predatory, politically erroneous decision of our regional authorities to increase communal tariffs,” the representative of the Committee of Protest Actions Sergey Krupenko opened the rally (he is the main fighter for sobriety in the Novosibirsk region). - For three months now, outraged citizens have been holding their protests. What has changed during this time? Have the regional authorities managed to bring convincing arguments in favor of their decision? No, this did not happen. On the contrary, everyone is confused. There is a continuous swear between the branches of power. The press does not say anything about our protests! Only individual Internet sites tell something. The authorities are trying to shut up our protest. She hopes that the protest will come to naught. But he will not do. More and more people gather over time. ”

He seriously warned that if the authorities do not listen to the requirements of the people to cancel the increase in tariffs, the protesters would be forced to demand the resignation of the governor. He nodded towards the buildings of the city hall and the government located on Krasnoy Prospekt, where "they hear everything."

However, they “heard” closer than he thought. Here, at the pedestal of the monument to Lenin, the head of the administrative bodies of the regional government, former chief policeman Alexei Kirillov, Vice-mayor of Novosibirsk Artem Skatov, and even the Minister of Regional Policy, Igor Yakovlev himself with subordinates, froze.

They also heard the following speakers - wrestlers with communal injustice, who entered into a correspondence with the presidential administration and the first deputy chairman of the regional government, Vladimir Zalvikov. The whole correspondence was read out into the microphone.

Almost every speaker expressed distrust of the governor and stigmatized the power engineers, similar theses (plus the city hall and the “deputies-mockering”) were indicated on the posters. The rally participants collected signatures under the requirements for the abolition of raising tariffs (Governor Vladimir Gorodetsky already responded to these requirements ). Nearby, on the street of the deputy, there was a column of buses. But people were brought to them not to a rally, but to the theater of operas and ballet.
