The head of the campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny, Leonid Volkov, who was detained along with employees of the Anti-Corruption Fund on March 26, recorded a video message from the police department.

Volkov said that the employees are charged under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses - disobedience to the lawful demand of a police officer. He did not mention that he himself could be charged under Article 282 of the Criminal Code (extremism).

According to Volkov, his colleagues will be kept in the department at least until the morning of March 27, when the trial begins. Despite this, he promised that both the FBK and Navalny's campaign headquarters would continue to work.

On March 26, FBK employees conducted an Internet broadcast about mass protests against corruption. During the detention, Volkov was told that a case of extremism could be brought against him for his statements on the air. After the employees were detained, a search began in the FBK building.
Mass actions against corruption, the reason for which was the investigation of the FBK about the "secret empire" of Dmitry Medvedev, took place in dozens of Russian cities.
According to OVD-Info, more than 880 people were detained in Moscow for protests against corruption. Some of them were released from the police departments. Administrative protocols are drawn up against the detainees on violating the procedure for holding rallies and disobeying the orders of police officers.
