The police began to detain the protesters half an hour before the start of the action. Most people immediately began to gather on Pushkinskaya Square, although the organizers of the action asked their supporters to walk along Tverskaya - from Belorusskaya to Manezhnaya Square and vice versa.

The protesters finally pushed from the monument to Pushkin to the Russia theater and they began to build barricades from the urns and boards left by the builders for the repair of Pushkin Square. Meanwhile, a cordon was removed from Pushkinskaya Square - and several hundred protesters returned there.
