The magistrate of court district No. 160 in St. Petersburg arrested Andrei Bazhutin, chairman of the Association of Carriers of Russia (OPR), for 14 days on charges of driving a vehicle without a driver's license (Article 12.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The activist was detained at his own house in St. Petersburg when he was leaving for a rally. As it turned out, the court, in the absence of Andrey Bazhutin, considered the case of depriving him of his rights without proper notification.
