
The Central Bank of the Russian Federation will buy Microsoft software for 3.3 billion rubles, Vedomosti write with reference to electronic trading data.
The regulator needs 44 thousand licenses for Office 365, 6 thousand software licenses for Visio diagrams, about 4,500 licenses for Project project management programs. Bought for five years, until November 2021.
The supplier will be the IT-Holding "Lanit" George Hens. As Alexander Levashov, editor-in-chief of the TADVISER IT portal, told Vedomosti, this contract is the largest purchase by Microsoft products over the past three years.
State companies and authorities cannot buy foreign software if he has a Russian analogue, which since January 2016 should be selected from the register of the Ministry of Communications, resemble Vedomosti.
However, the purchases of the Central Bank are regulated by the Civil Code, the Law on Competition and internal documents. At the same time, a source close to the regulator explained to the newspaper that this is not about the new software, but about the extension of the licenses of the already purchased.
At the beginning of 2017, it was reported that the Ministry of Communications plans to close the “Laseyka” for state -owned companies, forbidding them to update licenses for foreign software.
