
The Office of the Investigative Committee for the Investigation of Particularly important cases completed the investigation in the case of bribery, initiated against the former governor of the Kirov region Nikita Belykh. This was reported on the website of the department.

The whites are charged with two episodes, each of which is qualified under part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe on an especially large amount), which provides from 8 to 15 years of the colony. It is alleged that in 2012-2016 he was transferred to him for the help of the Novovytsk Ski plant and the company "Forestry Management Company", as well as for connivance in the government of monitoring the region of implementation of investment projects and doing business.
Initially, in the case there was only the second episode - a bribe in the amount of 400 thousand euros. After the Belykh was detained in the Moscow bar on June 24, 2016, the TFR said that they took the official with red -handed when receiving this money.
Another episode - a bribe of 200 thousand euros - whites were charged only this month . The lawyer of the former official Andrei Grokhotov explained the new accusation that the case of his client was falling apart. The bribe taker in this episode, the lawyer added, is considered to be a businessman Eduard Laritsky, who was concluded in the pre -trial detention center, and the money was allegedly transferred "through a bunch of people", in particular a certain Sergey Shcherchkov.

For some time, the former official held a hunger strike in a pre -trial detention center. At the same time, he emphasized that he did not consider his persecution politically motivated.
