The Russian Orthodox Church may demand to transfer to her the balance of the Spaso-Borodinsky Monastery, located in the territory of the Borodinskoye Field Museum-Reserve in the Mozhaisk district of the Moscow Region. As TASS reports , the director of the museum Igor Korneev stated this.
“There were negotiations with the abbess,” said the museum. “They (clerics. - Ed.) Will move along the path of resolving the issue of transferring the ROC monastery, and where will the museum go?”
Korneev explained that in terms of the buildings of the monastery there are administrative premises and the exposition. One of the long -term concepts of the development of the museum involved the construction of new administrative buildings. In this case, the director noted, "we can calmly give the Russian Orthodox Church when the deadline comes."
Valery Klimov, the head of the department of inter-museum communications of the Rosiso Museum and Exhibition Center, in turn, noted that 70 percent of the Savior-Borodinsky monastery, including the Church, was on the balance sheet of the Borodino Field. Metropolitan Krutitsky and Kolomensky Juvenal have already instructed to start work on the transfer of the Vladimir Cathedral of the monastery clergy. On the transfer of other buildings, Klimov added, it will be possible to talk as new buildings for the museum are commissioned.
