Two exhibitions will open in the Permm Museum

From April 5 to May 9, the Permm Museum of Contemporary Art in Perm will host Dmitry Bulnygin “Nothing Is Perfect” and “Low Cloud” by Mikhail Pavlyukevich and Olga Subbotina.

The retrospective personal exhibition of video and photo works of Dmitry Bulnygina “Nothing IS Perfect” will be the first project of the artillery museum, Moscow in Permm .

The basis of the Exposition “Low Cloud” will be the new works of the participants of the Triennale of Russian Contemporary Art in the Museum of Contemporary Art “Garage” Mikhail Pavlyukevich and Olga Subbotina, which will be first represented in Perm.

“Low cloudy” - a state of space in which the boundaries are lost; We can guess the whole by observing individual fragments, sometimes we restore the familiar image according to subtle features. - the artists say. - The appearance of the place is created by images of some well -known objects of the Perm wooden sculpture and landscapes - phantoms with topographic signs that arise in them, cartographic fragments of the space in which we are. All this is layered and acquires an unusual coloring and texture in everyday consciousness. We, as it were, recall and restore familiar outlines in our minds, and they acquire some new signs. ”

The “Low Cloud” exhibition is part of the large research project of the museum aimed at studying the regional artistic situation of contemporary art.

The study of the Perm context, which the museum has been involved in the last three years began in 2014 with the exhibition of Mikhail Pavlyukevich and Olga Subbotina, the “Chronicle of Movement”, continued with the exhibition of Perm artists, “form of the invisible”, which was shown in Perm and in Moscow. Last year, the research work was continued by the exhibitions “Living Emptiness” with the works of Perm artists and “High tension” with the works of Yuri Manoshin from Gubakhu.
