In Sochi, an administration employee “for no reason” extorted 100 thousand rubles from a friend

The leading specialist of the legal defense department for the Khostinsky district of the legal department of the Sochi city administration was convicted of fraud using his official position.

According to investigators, on March 10, 2017, an employee of the MKU “Department of Property Complex” of the city of Sochi arrived at the home of local residents on Partizanskaya Street to check the number of floors of the home.

The owner was not present during the inspection of the house and land; their friend was present at the scene and informed them about this. The owner of the house, in turn, telephoned a friend of hers to ask an administration employee to find out the circumstances.

An administration employee met with an employee of the municipal government agency, who informed him that no violations were identified during the inspection of the land plot and home ownership.

Meanwhile, on March 13, 2017, an administration employee, during a meeting with the owner of the house, misled her by informing her that violations had been identified during the inspection. At the same time, he offered to give him 100 thousand rubles, allegedly for further transfer to an employee of a municipal government agency.

The woman agreed, but reported the proposal to law enforcement agencies. On March 17, 2017, the applicant met with an administration employee and gave him the required amount of money, after which the attacker was detained by operational officers of the FSB regional department.

The investigative department for the Lazarevsky district of the city of Sochi of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case against the official on suspicion of fraud using his official position (Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The investigation into the criminal case continues, reports the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Krasnodar Territory.
