Peskov announced the transfer of the “direct line” with Putin

The annual “straight line” with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place not in April, as in previous years, but later. This was stated by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

The transfer, according to Peskov, is connected with Putin's work schedule.

“Usually we do it in April, this year it won’t be in April, it will be later, but before August,” Interfax quoted him as saying.

• "Direct Line" is an annual TV show with the participation of President Vladimir Putin, during which he answers questions from the inhabitants of the Russian Federation. Citizens send some questions to the editorial office, some are asked by people in the studio and participants in teleconferences from different regions.
• The first ten "straight lines" took place in December or autumn; since 2013, the transmission took place in April. Direct Line 2017 will be the 15th in a row.
