The presenter and journalist Vladimir Pozner on his website commented on protests on March 26. He said that he received a lot of questions about rallies, so he decided to express his opinion on this matter.

He emphasized that he was talking about a rally in Moscow, because this action was the most numerous, and he does not know what was happening in other cities of Russia.

“The federal channels completely ignored these protests. If you do not use the Internet, if you limit your source of information to federal television channels, then there were no protests. I forgot who said this (it seems, some American journalist): “If this was not on television, then this was not at all.” And for so many Russians - if not for the majority - this was not. ”

Posner believes that the ban on talking about these protests on federal television channels is a “very bad sign” because he speaks of the shortsightedness of the authorities and its misunderstanding about what is happening in the country. He noted that the restriction of freedom of speech of the media now leads to the fact that people begin to look for information in other sources, including foreign ones.

At the same time, the host noted that he did not approve of Navalny, because he "consciously went to a provocation, substituting many people who had no idea what the consequences of their participation in an unauthorized rally could be."
