In Samara, the court fined two participants in the anti-corruption rally

On March 31, the Leninsky District Court of Samara continued to consider the administrative cases of those detained at a rally against corruption. This is reported by the publication “Idel. Realities".

Student David Hakobjanyan was fined 10,000 rubles under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation by a participant of a public event of the procedure for holding it). Vyacheslav Zavgorodniy, a 19-year-old college student from Chapaevsk, was fined 500 rubles under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the demand of a police officer).

“The court sessions resembled a farce: members of the local branch of the National Liberation Movement were witnesses in administrative cases. They wrote statements to the police that the guys, being at the rally on March 26, prevented them from entering the dwelling. At the same time, the “witnesses” live far from Pushkin Square, where the rally was held. However, these particulars do not concern the court. The judges do not care that the protocols for the guys were drawn up by the police with violations, inadmissible evidence. They were not explained the rights of the detainees, about which they wrote remarks in the protocols of interrogation by the police. The protocols should be withdrawn from administrative cases, but the judges denied this to the lawyers, ”said Idel. Realities” human rights activist Lyudmila Kuzmina.

Earlier on March 28, two protesters Sergei Zheltyakov and Nikolai Komarov were fined by the court. Zheltyakov was fined 15,000 rubles and Komarov 10,000 rubles.
