Evgeny Yevtushenko ended up in a hospital in serious condition

Russian poet Evgeny Yevtushenko was hospitalized in serious condition in the United States. This was reported by TASS by his wife Maria Novikova.

“Evgeny Alexandrovich has been hospitalized in serious condition, I can’t talk about details yet. I can only say that this is not a planned examination, ”she said.

July 18 Yevtushenko will turn 85 years old. He was born in the Irkutsk region. In 1952, his first book of poems “Scouts of the Coming” was published, then he was elected a member of the Union of Writers of the USSR.

In 1991, he left with his family to teach in the United States, where since then he lives.
