The KGB of Belarus was charged with ten defendants in a criminal case on the preparation of riots, the Belarusian Radio Liberty Service reports . Five more detainees left the pre -trial detention center in connection with the end of the deadline for the suspects.

The accused - Dmitry Dashkevich, Miroslav Lozovsky, Ivan Kovalchuk, Evgeny Poltorzhitsky, Sergey Stribulskaya, Sergey Palchevsky Alexei Abramov, Alexander Evdaho, Vladimir Rumyantsev and Andrey Belyavsky. According to lawyer Dashkevich, he was charged with part 3 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (training or other preparation of persons to participate in the riots), which provides for up to three years in prison. Whether other, heavier parts of this article are not reported to any of the defendants, is not reported.

On Friday, Sergey Barstock was released, on Saturday, activists of the unregistered organization "Young Front" Dmitry Kremenetsky, Roman Vasiliev, Artem Levchenko and Vladimir Yeremynok left the pre -trial detention center. They remain suspects in the case, the measure of restraint changed to a recognizance not to leave.

There are 29 defendants in total. 14 detainees have not yet expired the charge.

On March 21, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the detention of dozens of armed militants who allegedly prepared a provocation. One of the training camps of the militants was, according to the president, in the Bobruisk area and Osipovichi in the Mogilev region. “The rest of the camps are in Ukraine,” said Lukashenko. “In my opinion, in Lithuania or in Poland - I will not say, but somewhere there. Money went through Poland and Lithuania to us.”

In the evening of the same day, mass detentions and searches began in different cities of the country. The detainees were the former members of the White Legion movement, which stopped their activities in the first half of the two thousandth, former pupils of the Patriot Military-patriotic club, as well as activists of the “Young Front”, officially working in Bobruisk.

On March 23, the KGB of Belarus reported that a criminal case was opened under an article on riots. The Belarusian special services claim that the activists of the White Legion and the Young Front planned an attempt by the coup with the support of the "militants from Ukraine."

The leader of the "Young Front" Dashkevich was already convicted twice by Belarusian courts . In 2006, the opposition was sentenced to one and a half years in the colony "for organizing the activities of a public association that has not passed state registration." In December 2010, on the eve of the presidential election in Belarus, Dashkevich was arrested on charges of participating in a fight, during which two people were injured. On March 24, 2011, the court sentenced him to two years in general.

In August 2012, a closed court in a colony sentenced Dashkevich to an additional year of imprisonment "for malicious disobedience to the requirements of the colony administration." This year, the remainder of the term was credited, which the opposition was to be left by the previous sentence. Dashkevich was released on August 28, 2013.
