The authors of "populist" accusations of senior Russian officials in corruption simply do not own the necessary information. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov in an interview with the American television channel ABC News.
“Every year we submit our declarations on income and expenses to special bodies that twice check these declarations. Our income is very, very transparent to those organs that are responsible for the fight against corruption in our country,” Peskov answered the question of the leading program about the film -investigation of the FBK about the premiere of Dmitry Medvedev. “That's why, say, populist accusations that are, which are said, which is said. We sometimes see in the press that we hear from various activists are not true, because these activists simply do not know about the information that is at the disposal of special services. ”
At the same time, Peskov recognized corruption in Russia as a problem. "The society is absolutely intolerant of it. That's why we saw protests in different cities of our country a week ago. In some cities, they took place in accordance with the law. In some, as in Moscow, they were illegal, since the city hall did not notify how the law prescribes," Peskov said. “Of course, this became the reason for the arrests among people who participated in these illegal actions. This is the usual practice for any country and we see a lot of shares and many Arrests, so to speak, of the response from the police in many capitals of the world. "
On May 6, 2012, after the events on Bolotnaya Square, Peskov said on the air of the Rain television channel that the police should have been even tougher during the dispersal of the protesters. “From my point of view, the police acted softly. I would like it to act tougher. These were the provocateurs that they always warned Moscow authorities. They had to be worshiped, and for this they needed provocations,” Peskov said.
Two days later, to the question of the deputy of the State Duma Ilya Ponomarev, was the statement of the press secretary too sharp, Peskov replied: "It was still too mildly said. For the wounded riot police, it was necessary to smear the liver of the protesters on the asphalt"
Anti -corruption shares took place on March 26 in dozens of cities of Russia. In Moscow, about 20 thousand people went to an inconsistent event, of which 1030 were detained (
According to the "faces", 65 people were convicted of arrests for terms of 2 to 25 days. Meanwhile, human rights activists noted that many demonstrators freed from the police departments after drawing up protocols are accused of the previously not used part 6.1 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (participation in an unauthorized rally, which interferes with the movement of transport and pedestrians), which also provides for an arrest of up to 15 days. Courts over these citizens are appointed on April 5-7. Most of the participants of the action from the currently serving arrests by that time will already leave special receptions, and the places there will be free. In this regard, social activists fear that a new wave of arrests will follow the 5-7th day.
